Cultural Attractions Committee
The Cultural Attractions Committee brings the best of performing arts to the campus community. The committee presents the finest diverse programs in the areas of dance and music. Past events include South African performers Ladysmith Black Mambazo, Israeli violinist Itzhak Perlman, Irish troupe Gaelic Storm, the Los Angeles Guitar Quartet, the Vienna Boys Choir, the Moscow Festival Ballet, and much more. Students gain experience working with agents in the performing arts, publicizing large events, and meeting performers.
Zakir Hussain and the Masters of Percussion Moved to Tennessee Theatre
Due to a sudden unavoidable conflict in Cox Auditorium, the performance by Zakir Hussain and the Masters of Percussion has been moved to the beautiful Tennessee Theatre.
The Tennessee Theatre is located in downtown Knoxville at 604 South Gay Street. Free parking will be available after 6pm in the State Street Garage located behind the Tennessee Theatre. Your current tickets will be accepted at the door. However, seating will be on a “first come, general admission” basis.
If you have special seating requirements or preferences, please call Ashleigh Moyer at (865) 974-5455. The Cultural Attractions Committee is very thankful for your support of their cultural and performing arts events. Please accept our apologies for any inconvenience this change in venue may cause. We continue to look forward to this incredible show and to seeing you there.
