Campus Entertainment Board

The Campus Entertainment Board (CEB) is responsible for promoting contemporary entertainment covering a wide range of music, comedy, and special events. From well-known acts to exciting up-and-coming talent, CEB strives to provide the campus community and the Knoxville area with an inexpensive entertainment alternative. CEB hosts the twice-yearly Vol Night Long, a substance-abuse-awareness event on campus with dozens of activities such as sports, inflatable games, old-time photographs, karaoke, game shows, and more. The Board also hosts Volapalooza, an annual concert in the spring who in recent years has featured Ben Folds and the band CAKE.

Battle of the Bands Application Released

Applications for the 22nd Annual Battle of the Bands are now avaliable online. The competition will take place Thursday, August 21st, 2008 from 6:00-8:00 in the Humanities Ampitheatre. To be elligible for competition, at least half of each band must be enroled as full-time UT students, and each band is also required to play some original material. Applications are due Friday, August 1st at 5pm and should be turned in to the Office of Student Activites, 305 University Center. Selections will be announced by Friday, August 8th.

CEB Seeking New Members

The Campus Entertainment Board is now accepting membership applications for the 2007-2008 school year. All interested students are encouraged to apply. Applications are available for download and are due by 5PM on September 6th in the Office of Student Activities on the third floor of the University Center.
