Guerrilla Girls on Tour : "Feminists Are Funny"

Guerrilla Girls on Tour is a New York City based touring theatre company of national & international renown that creates fresh & original productions celebrating past, present & future women's history.

“Feminists are Funny” is a fast and physical romp through the works of some of the most prominent and amusing women of the 20th century as well as the famous visual works, street theatre actions, and excerpts from the current comedies in Guerrilla Girls On Tour's repertoire. The performers research and include current local issues and statistics on the state of the arts for women in every city in which they perform.

The show is presented using masks and draws from a variety of classic theatre techniques such as physical theatre, vaudeville and parody resulting in a unique style that allows imaginative portrayal of a wide range of characters and scenarios with minimal technical elements.

Guerrilla Girls on Tour have presented over 200 performances and 100 workshops in theatres, classrooms, art galleries, community centers, cafes and outdoors in places like the US, UK, Poland, Argentina, South Korea, Spain, Japan, Canada and France.
